With every pace I engaged in, was a constant worry for Belle.

I seem to be going deeper into the forest, but there's no sign of her yet.

I even howled to alert, but there was no feedback.

Belle where are you? I said in my mind, my eyes sharp and observing every corner and inch of the place. Avoiding every other sounds that would distract my focus.
