Aaron, the pack doctor, took another feel of her pulse, pressing two of his fingers on her wrist gently. He was like that for a moment before dropping her arm carefully beside her on the bed.

He turned to me then, his lips stretching in an assuring smile. “She just passed out from the pain inflicted on her. She will wake up soon, Alpha King,” he said.
