I was in so much of a hurry, I forgot to knock. I pushed the door, stumbling into the room. The sight I met on Eira's bed made me momentarily forget my predicament.

My feet froze by the door, fingers on the cold doorknob, and I stared, zeroing eyes at the scene that was quickly paused at my entry.

I would have thought Lucien was strangling her if he hadn't pulled away the pillow he had been using to smother her moans, and she raised her face to glare at me.
