The heels of my shoes clicked softly against the marble floor as I made my way down the staircase.

I was dressed in a light blue silk dress. The gown clung to me just perfectly, much better than the one I wore for dinner last night.

That was because I had chosen this one for myself, rather than let Damian do it for me.

At the bottom of the stairs, my eyes locked on him, my body tensed just at his mere sight.

Damian was there.. waiting.
