The sirens were faint in my ears and then they grew louder and louder.

Around me, people were murmuring and whispering to themselves, some recording this with their phones.

But I didn't mind it, my focus was on Elena in front of me.

She lay limp in my arms, her head rolling slightly as her breathing hitched.
