Chapter 5
Leo
Forty more minutes in the party Tage Hutch cornered me. Seems the evening just keep getting worse by the second.
"Leo," He purred, stroking my arm in a seductive manner.
"I have been searching for you all evening."
"Tage," I stepped backwards, putting a distance of at least five centimeters from us.
We'd f***cked together casually for six months. Five years ago.
It have been a thing of the past, but from the lustful look on Tage's face, I don't think he agreed.
"It's been a while, is your fiance here?"
He rubbed off my question like it was meaningless.
"He doesn't like parties," he said.
"Not as much as you, Leo. Do you remember how much fun we used to have?"
I stopped his hand from straying to close to my massive pole of meat.
"Used to, not anymore."
Had it been that he had been single, I would have taken him up on his offer, no problem and the Della Rossi Towers would be built without any hindering force.
But he had a fiance and that was a no go area.
My mom got cheated on by my father throughout their marriage life.
It was in one of his affairs with those random women that birthed Emily my half sister. We never knew she existed up until the day he died eight years ago.
I swore on his grave not to repeat his extra marital acts.
"We must not follow the rules Leo," he said in a desperate murmur.
He pressed his backside to my groin.
"Don't you want to f**ck me? What is it?."
F**ck.
This needs to be handled carefully.
I can't just reject Tage outright, he could get angry and step into the way of my project and I didn't want that.
Ever since I moved back to Hamilton three years ago, I have been drafting the Della Rossi Towers.
From buying the vacant lot, designing the space and winning city councilors over.
A rejection from me to Tage Hutch can shatter my plans.
"Tell me, was it that boy in a dark blue suit?" Tage voice was laced with jealousy.
"The one you were kissing mindlessly earlier?"
His words echoes through my body, memories of Brandon washing me over like electric.
"Yes," I say out of relief. Brandon can be a way out of this trap.
"Brandon".
"I don't mind being a third wheel." His lips licked my earlobe.
"It will be our dirty little secret."
I pulled myself away.
"I can't." I hear myself say and I immediately regretted it.
"I.... really can't." I looked deep into Tage's brown eyes.
"I'm sorry, Tage. I have feelings for Brandon and I'm going to propose to him."
"Seriously?"
I nodded. I wasn't sure how I would convince Brandon to stay with me, but I felt giving him access to design the Della Rossi Towers playground would lower his defenses.
He loves to help little youngster, right? then let's trade.
"Yes, I am." I raise my shoulders, spreading my hands wide.
"Tage, I'm finally in love I hope you can see that."
He steps back, with a look I couldn't quite decipher on his face.
"I'm happy for you, congrats," he said.
"Once the Della Rossi Towers is signed by the city I want you and him to have dinner with Chris and me."
"Of course, we would," I assure him. Relief calming my nerves down.
Luckily, he didn't push further, to me it felt like I just crossed the red sea.
Passing through the devil chambers. Mom would say.
Then all of a sudden Tage turned his back with a cynical expression on his face.
"Wait a minute," he said with a frown.
"Isn't your boyfriend the one who spoke against your company. The one that said he wants a playground for the kids?"
"Leo be truthful with me, what game are you playing here?"
