The room wouldn’t stop spinning.

I barely felt myself go down, my knees giving out as I crumpled to the floor, breath tearing out of my chest in loud, ugly heaves. My palms hit the stone, cold biting into my skin, but even that didn’t drag me back to reality.

“That’s a fucking lie,” I whispered, more to myself than anyone else. “Lilith would never. Lilith would never have sex with you.”
