The pack house was covered with nothing but silence.

Gently, I reclined on a wall at the front side of the tower, peeping at the wolves working at the side of the pack palace gate. My face was pale with sleeplessness resulting from fear, all owing to my worrisome feelings about the pack.

My heart pounded.

For fright. And then, for desire to have Henry claim me again—fully. I stared at him upstairs through the window lens close to the Alpha King's store.
