 Astrid stepped in front of me as we walked into the restaurant. I watched her dominate the space.

 She probably didn't know it, but whenever she walked into a room, she owned it. The air shifted—and then it was all about her. 

 I liked it then. I still do now.

 Her hips swayed in the black dress she wore, drawing my attention to it. 

 Her dress ended mid-thigh. And, well, it turns out she was the hottest woman I’d seen in a while.
