Waking up the next morning felt blessed. I drew Tricia close to me since she was already awake.

"Have you fed Ethan?" I asked.

"Yes, I have," she said.

I thought of calling Bernard but remembering that he would be busy, I gave up the idea. Meanwhile, his coming was a show of appreciation for what I did in the bank two days ago.
