Deryl dragged me back into his hellish house. He even passed by Cecilia and dragged me back into my room. The door was locked again, but they remained standing behind my room door.
"Tighten the guard. Don't let Reinhard escape again." Deryl's voice was still clearly audible to his bodyguards out there. Then the sound of their footsteps faded away, replaced by the sound of footsteps that I was sure belonged to Cecilia.
"Why was she brought back again?" Cecilia complained.
"I brought her back because no one understands you and me better than Reinhard." Deryl's words caused a strange flutter, indirectly acknowledging that I am so needed here.
"If that's the case, how long will she be locked up in her room? Isn't it pointless if we don't use her strength?" Cecilia asked, still sounding so annoyed.
"Until we get married. Mom said she wants to hold the wedding party as soon as possible. And when that time comes, I want Reinhard to come out to help prepare your wedding."
"Really? I heard Reinhard is a florist. Can I ask her to make a bouquet for our wedding?" Cecilia exclaimed happily. She even deliberately raised her voice so I could hear from inside.
A wedding that is coming soon, between my husband and our adopted child. There is nothing more painful in my life except the death of both my parents and this infidelity. And what's worse, Deryl plans to remarry without divorcing me.

The next morning, when I opened my eyes, my room was suddenly filled with flowers. There are three maids whom Deryl must have hired a long time ago. They come and go from my room with impudence, and I just noticed Cecilia's presence on the sofa in my room.
"WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO NOW?" I can't help but be angry; this is too much. Cecilia has my room key, and she made a racket as soon as I opened my eyes.
"Don't shout; they say that if you're easily angered, it will speed up aging. I hope you're in good shape to attend my wedding," Cecilia said with a triumphant expression.
Cecilia suddenly got up and sat on my bed. "My mother-in-law will hold our wedding party in less than a month. These maids we hired to help with the preparations for my wedding, and you might be locked up until our wedding day arrives."
Deryl Myer never even hired a maid to help me manage the house. But now there are three maids to help take care of his marriage with Cecilia.
"Because you will be staying here for a long time, as your former child, I'm worried you will die of boredom. So I brought you a lot of flowers to practice with and make the best one for me," Cecilia continued, before she ushered the maids out of my room and locked it again.
Annoyed, I threw a few flower stems in the direction of Cecilia's departure. That ungrateful child has truly become a disaster for me.
I got off the bed and glanced at the multitude of flowers of various kinds that I had to arrange into wedding bouquets for my husband and adopted child.
I couldn't hold back my tears; I buried my face in my knees for a moment.
After coming to terms with the situation, I cleaned myself up and tried to arrange the flowers according to Cecilia's wishes. I will make the most beautiful flower with the darkest meaning so that Cecilia and Deryl will never forget their marriage.
I took a stem of black dahlia, symbolizing the same sorrow and betrayal that I feel. Black flowers are never carried by a bride, but I will still make this for Cecilia.
As I picked a few more stems, suddenly my head spun and I felt extremely nauseous. I tried to hold back the nausea, but in the end, I vomited just as a maid suddenly opened my room door.
"Ma'am? Ma'am, are you okay?" The maid looked panicked; she helped me back to my bed.
"I'm fine; I just feel nauseous." Because this maid seems nice, I spoke honestly.
"Is it possible that you are pregnant?" I was lost in thought hearing the maid's suggestion. I am indeed late for my period; this happens often. I don't even remember the last time Deryl touched me.
"That's impossible. I don't have a husband," I said firmly; this maid was just hired by Deryl. She won't know who I am and what our household situation is like. So I made it clear that Deryl is nobody to me.
"I beg you, don't tell anyone what you just saw." Suddenly, I felt that this must be kept hidden. Whatever happens, I don't want any obstacles to using the opportunity to part ways with Deryl. However, the maid was a bit hesitant.
"I beg you. You can take this as hush money." I held both of the maid's hands while slipping my wedding ring as a bribe.
"I cannot accept this, ma'am; you don't need to worry about this confidentiality." The maid still refused, because we had just met and I didn't know the true nature of this maid, so I asked her to take this ring of mine that was no longer valuable.
"Alright, if you insists." The maid took the ring from my hand and slipped it into her pocket.
"If you feel better, you can come downstairs. Mr. Deryl asked me to call you for a moment because someone wants to see you."
Someone who came to see me? Curiously, I hurried downstairs, thinking it was Benedict, but I never expected that it was Dr. Adams down there.
Deryl's gaze was fixed on me sharply, both hands on his hips. Deryl didn't even let Dr. Adams sit on the guest chair.
"Look, your affair partner came to pick you up." Deryl pointed towards Dr. Adams, and Dr. Adams smiled at me as if we were so close.
"Why did Dr. Adams come here?" I asked, truly surprised why Dr. Adams came and how he knew this address.
"I came to pick up Mrs. Reinhard." Dr. Adams' words further clarified Deryl's earlier statement. I don't know what was going through his mind suddenly coming here with an idea to pick me up.
