Steven is still standing, blood trickling down his temple, looking shell-shocked. Victor, on the other hand, looks calm and composed. “You don’t touch Rose like that, Steven. I ought to break your arms.”

Steven opens his mouth but then closes it as if he doesn’t know how to respond yet. His eyes are blazing with anger. His ego must be bruised. He raises his fist and charges toward Victor, aiming for his face.
