I took a deep breath. “Yes Andrew,” I replied, never for once taking my eyes off the floor. I didn’t have the effrontery to look him in the eyes. I was afraid that he would see through her if I stared him in the eyes.

“Are you pregnant?” Andrew asked again and I sighed again.
