Everywhere was pitch dark; I couldn't see a thing. I can't even feel my body moving.

I don't remember where I am or why I am like this; the only thing I can hear clearly in the still darkness is the tick-tock of a clock.

I felt some kind of pain around my neck, but I couldn't reach out to touch it.
