CHAPTER 7

Mia stared at the papers on the table, her fingers brushing lightly over the edge of the pen resting beside them. She didn’t bother reading through the details. She hated being questioned, hated being challenged, and she was determined to prove she could handle whatever this contract entailed. Without hesitation, she picked up the pen.

She couldn't help but stare at the bold heading on the first document: "Contract between Mia Meyer and Stefan Sterling."
