No sooner had Stefan ended his father’s call that Mia’s phone rang sharply, slicing through the moment.

“Father” flashed boldly on the screen. Stefan glanced at it, then at her.

Mia gave a mock sigh. “They should really do a DNA test,” she said dryly. “I’m starting to think your father and mine are long-lost brothers.”
