“I was actually kidnapped,” Mia started, her voice low as she explained to Elena.

“But it turns out the men were Stefan’s underground guys. So technically, he saved me… just not directly.” She trailed off when her eyes caught Stefan walking down the hallway in the stairs, loosening his cuffs as he disappeared into his room.

Elena followed her gaze and smirked. “Then go thank him properly.”

Mia blinked. “Huh? He just went into his room.”
