Allison's POV

The cars pulled up before the cathedral—a giant ornate monument, with gothic spires piercing into the dark sky. But the cathedral wasn’t the reason I flinched from the car door, a silent gasp tearing from my lips.

Before the cathedral, waiting, with tripods holding cameras in place, all set upon our convoy, and reporters holding mics watching, like a pack of wolves, waiting for us to step out of the car so they could pounce.
