Allison’s POV

Mrs. Kane had just checked my vitals and removed the bandages from the injury in my abdomen. She was retreating for the TV when the door was pushed open. Doctor Lance pushed the door, stumbling in.

His nostrils hung in the air, mouth wide open, air knocking in and out of his mouth, breath whizzy. He looked like he had been chased right to my door.

Mrs. Kane quizzed him with hostile eyes. While the two don’t always get along, they were very good gist partners.
