**Camille's point of view**

"What are you doing in here?"

I spun around. Victoria stood at the doorway, travel coat still on, eyes not angry, but unreadable.

"I thought you were in Tokyo," I whispered.

"I was. My flight landed early."

Silence stretched between us. She looked past me into Sophia's untouched world, her expression unreadable.

"Well?" she said softly. "Did you find what you were looking for?"

I could have lied. Could have claimed I got lost, accidentally ...
