After he finishes feeding me, he tucks me in, his movements careful, and soothing.

"Get some rest," he says softly. "You’ll feel better when you wake up."

I nod weakly and close my eyes. But my mind doesn’t stop spinning.

It’s nobody.

That’s what he said. Just two words, yet they echo in my skull.
