"Yes, Mrs Davis. I called to inform you that it is being delivered to your house as you requested."

My breath caught in my throat. All week I have anxiously waited for the DNA result. Now that it has arrived, I could barely feel my skin.

"Hello, ma'am? Are you still there?" the Doctor's voice brought me out of oblivion and I pressed the phone to my ear.
