Annabel's POV

I had gotten past the guards after a sly explanation when I heard a gunshot from the building. I paused and swallowed hard.

There are only three occupants in the building- Mr Crofwell, Michelle and Mr Davis.

I thought aloud, "Mr Davis-" and then hurried into the building.

"Please...God..no-" I mumbled underneath my breath, hoping against hope that I wouldn't find someone sprawled on the floor with blood around.
