Without another word, Annabel turned and walked into her car. I did not stop her even if I wanted to. I felt tired of trying to make her see things the way I see them.

How much of a revenge does she crave for that she had to choose Myron over me, over a happy life with our kids?

I turned around and walked back into the house. If Annabel does not come to terms with me, I might give up already. Perhaps it's high time I accept the fact that she could never be mine again.
