I did not immediately go home after my encounter at Michelle's. I couldn't. Knowing what awaits me with the kind of man Myron is, the eagerness to return to the mansion ceased to exist.

I simply hanged around restaurants and parks, watched families file in and out, their smiles reaching their ears.

The kids at the park could not be any happier. It was the life I wanted for my kids but I seemed to have ruined everything by getting myself involved with Myron.
