DID YOU REALLY KNOW YOUR MOTHER?

"Shit.." I cursed as my heart beat rapidly against my chest. I pulled the door open and stepped out in the hallway but there was no one there.

I wasn't convinced. I was sure someone had slipped this note through my door. I looked further down the hallway but not a single soul was on it.
