Lyra woke up before the sun, she didn’t plan to but her eyes just opened on their own, the sky was still a bit dark so she decided to stay in bed for a while, staring at the ceiling and trying to understand the feeling in her chest. It wasn’t fear, not exactly. It was something mixed. Like she was happy and scared at the same time, and that feeling stayed even after she sat up.
