Petal's POV

The rain didn’t stop for three days.

It fell in slow, relentless sheets, turning the courtyard into a sea of mud and the air into something that felt too thick to breathe.

From my window, I could see the training yard empty now, save for a few wolves pacing the edges, their bodies tense, their movements restless. The pack was uneasy. It showed in the way they moved, spoke, even breathed.
