A few days after Kayden proposed, we stood in front of the Emerald Pack gates.

My heart would not stay still.

The gates were tall and made of dark wood and iron. The symbol of the Emerald Pack was carved into them; a wolf surrounded by vines and leaves. I had seen this symbol in dreams before I even knew what it meant.
