Maxime tried to keep his promise to Lucian. He had just earned the Alpha's trust and he didn't want to disappoint him again.

“Come on, Maxime. I don't want to delay any longer. I want you. Since I first moved to the Black Hole Pack, I've been incredibly attracted to you.”

“Luna, this is wrong. You're Lucian's Alpha mate. You can't act like this.”

“Why? Lucian doesn't know. Why are you so anxious?”
