I waited for Lucian to speak, observing the restaurant in the meantime. I felt like a stranger here. People were eating and walking around casually. They seemed accustomed to being in this kind of environment. I started to feel nervous, but I couldn't deny that I was hungry too. I felt like a fish out of water. What if they thought I was a weird girl? I felt like a beggar who had wandered into a gathering of wealthy people who were far above my station.
