It had been more than three hours and Ariel was still unconscious. Alpha Kentz stood beside her, holding her hand. I couldn't ask him what had actually happened. Chaos. Ariel had suddenly convulsed, and now she was lying in bed.

"Do you still have a mate bond with her, Lucian?" Alpha Kentz asked me.

"I haven't rejected her."

"Why? She's not Nadine."
