"I don't know why we have to go there; I don't want to go," I whined endlessly, dragging out the words as Natalie and Delia rummaged through my closet for something to wear to this supposed occasion.

"Why?" Natalie was just this close to losing it with me, but I knew she wouldn’t—and if she did, she’d feel guilty afterwards.

I shrugged. "I just don’t want to go. You two can go, and I’ll call Fynn to come over, and we’ll just chill.”
