"What the hell is going on? What’s wrong, Zyliah?” Grandma Charlotte rushed toward us, her voice sharp with alarm.

Claire's back was slammed against the ground, and I was on top, raining down punches and slaps. She struggled to block them, crying out with every single hit.

Grandma Charlotte grabbed at me, trying to pull me off Claire, but I stubbornly clung to my position, still striking her and letting out hot, angry tears.
