I rolled my eyes, ignoring Kim's fake smile, Jocelyn's piercing eyes, and Nicholas's angry eyes as I looked at Dad with a sincere smile.

"I did. I had a last-minute training last night. It wasn't long because it was pretty late, but it was fun," I said, making my wolf, Zoey, laugh. "I took a good jab to someone's head and beat them to a pulp, just like you showed me, Dad," I say, making Kim's eyes widen.
