The silence stretched for a heartbeat longer, before he was already moving towards me. Nathan didn’t waste a second before pulling me into his arms. He held me so tightly I could feel his heart pounding against my chest. He was almost trembling, his breath uneven as he whispered my name over and over like he was making sure I was really here, that I hadn’t disappeared from him again.
