It must have been Rihanna’s shout of pain that attracted Chris to come close to where we were.

I noticed him, but before I could warn him, he tripped over a charm laying about.

Direct contact with the object made him lose his balance. Energy had been taken from his legs.

“Argh! I can’t move!” he screamed.

It temporarily paralyzed him? I had speculations of that happening. “Chris, hold on!”
