Bodie looks at me with a confused expression smeared across his face.

“Why did he call? What did he say to you?”.

I pick up a pen on the table and play with it idly before answering. “I was not patient enough to find out his reason for calling”.

My answer doesn't seem to shock him at all. He knows how impatient I get when agitated or angry.
