The silence drags on before Bodie’s words slice through the silence.

“I’m here if you ever need someone to talk to,” he says reassuringly.

“Also…” he waits for me to look at him before he continues. “I’m on your side, whatever you choose to do, I'll always be here to give a helping hand.”

His words sound sincere and I know him well enough to vouch that he means everything he said.
