The moonlight filtered in through the windows, making the white cotton sheets, the ornate arm chair I sat in, and most importantly… her, silver in color.

She laid on the bed motionless, her dark lashes resting like shadows against her cheeks, her chest rising and falling so delicately it seemed so beautiful and unreal.

I’d been sitting here for hours. Maybe longer. Watching her. Her expression was peaceful.. too peaceful for someone who’d just clawed her way back from death.
