I stared at Raymond after Reika left, not recognizing the man I married. I could remember how it was that night when Reika lost her baby — the one thing that mattered to her. Even though we weren't on the best of terms now, I tried to put myself in her shoes and imagine how she must have felt. 

Not only did she lose her baby, but she had to watch me marry the man she loved. And then she found out that the man she loved didn't love her enough to not betray her like that.
