Verity's POV

The library was different today.

All the usual reading tables had been pushed against the walls and in their place stood a raised platform with two chairs facing each other. Scholars lined the sides of the room with thick books and scrolls in their arms and their faces were serious as they whispered to one another. The judges sat at the front in tall backed chairs and looked just as pompous as they had during the first trial.
