Chapter 4

-Tyranor's point of view-

"We are willing to give the requilary of our conquered lands to you Tyranor." Balem said and my eyes bulged out in surpise.

The requilary was the weapons of fallen warriors over the years, and I as one was a lover for this weapons, I had a chamber dedicated to keeping this artifacts.

They were like trophy worth a lot of golds in the black market anyone who had them really had something and now they're willing to give it away?

for a girl?

"What are you thinking about Tyranor?." He asked breaking my thoughts, it made me wonder what exactly zarah was and why they eagerly wanted her.

"Do you have an idea where the girl is and also why the sudden interest in her?" I asked

"She's been held as prisoner In the red keep village but her captors are not willing to hand her to us, but I'm sure they'll willingly hand her to you." He said with so much confidence.

"You haven't answered my other question, why the sudden interest in her?" I asked again, they most have had motive behind that.

"Its heard that the girl fire has the ability to conjure fire, I believe she's like your kind a goddess when we have her she'll be able to fight our wars and win It by causing destruction and chaos." He answered a light smile forming on his lips. They knew so much about her Already.

Zephyra was right then, she was able to conjure fire but the girl in question didn't look like someone to cause destruction.

"I will think about it dearest warlords and get back to you the soonest." I said smiling back as I stood.

"Time isn't on our side Tyranor please do think about our offer." Balem said nervously.

I nodded and dismissed them before heading toy Chambers.

"what did they say Tyranor?." Lenod asked as he walked up to me.

"I'll tell you later lenod." I said and hastend my steps, I pushed the door and stepped in but it was empty.

How did she leave?

I searched around the room trying to find her when something hard collided with my back. I hissed lightly turning to see what it was.

She stood there with the vase in her shaky hands as she panted wanting to hit me again.

I grabbed her wrist tight and gripped it harder making her squirm as she dropped the vase immediately.

"You're hurting me." she whimpered trying to free her hand from my hold, I released my grip but still held her wrist.

"What is wrong with you?!!." I snapped dragging her closer, her hands clasped with my chest.

"You cant keep me captive, I am not yours to keep." she said shouting furiously.

"I am not trying to keep you captive I freaking saved you!." i said sharply pushing her back in the process.

she was supposed to be grateful that I saved from those people instead she tried to harm me.

"Then let me leave, I will be forever grateful your being my saviour." she muttered desperately folding her hand in pleas.

"You cant leave Zarah, I can't let you leave." I said keeping my voice calm as I stepped closer. she stepped back.

"Why?." she asked my voice barely audible as her Hazel eyes pierced into mine.

How would I explain to her?.

"Your people might still be looking for you, that cheif didn't want to let you go." I said as I bent picking the vase and walked to the table to drop it.

"Tell me do you want to be found?." I asked her and she twisted her fingers together—of course she wouldn't want to be found.

"Your silence already gave me my Answer Zarah , you're scared." She looked up yet again. The fears were evident in her eyes.

I got lost starring at her fragile posture—her skin was flawless but still had the scars of the wounds they inflicted on her.

Something sparked inside me as I kept starring at this fragile little girl. she reminded me of who I was before I accepted my calling. The emotional and mental torture I went through for my restraint and reluctance.

"Your powers—how does it work?." i asked.

"I–I don't know, it just happens." She muttered reluctantly.

"Okay, when did it start I mean the fire and all." I asked again seating on corner of the bed.

"When I was six, my family house got burnt and I was trapped inside, I didn't get burnt after that my parents got scared and so did everyone else—I caused the fire that night." she mumbled slowly regret written all over her face.

"Do you want to know more about your powers, learn control." I said thoughtfully as I stood walking closer to her.

This time she didn't move back.

"I want to learn control." she answered firmly. I liked that.

"I can teach you control Zarah, only if youre ready to corporate with me, In return I will protect you." I said closing the gap between us, her chest rose and fell rapidly as she looked up at me intensely.

"what do you get in return?." she asked starring suspiciously.

what I wanted?—What I wanted wasn't one she could understand yet. I didn't know what I wanted until I was sure of what she could do.

"You'll get to know along the way."

Then came silence.

"So tell me little human, are you ready to be my Student?." I asked raising my open palm to hers. I smiled for no reason already feeling excited for our journey together.

I couldn't let the warlords have her— they were reckless with their power, they would use her for their own good till she turned to dust.

"Yes." she finally answered as she placed her tiny hands in mine.

I could see the struggle in her expression as she tried to smile and then switch back to a plain expression.
