Still in the hospital with Doctor Alex."But I am sorry; she might not survive it."
"What did I hear you say, Doctor Alex?" Sherman felt deaf.
"There are many complications for her. Which makes it impossible for her to survive. When I said our survival is 50/50, I meant it." Doctor Alex added.
"Why then do you recommend such relocation when you know that her survival isn't sure?"
"She will be fine. I will definitely try my best, just as I have said earlier before now. Her chance of survival is not sure." He said more.
"I need to reach out to them." Sherman felt so tired.
Meanwhile, Isabella had just arrived at the pack and had rushed Norah to the hospital.
Awaiting doctor feedback at the reception.
Soon the doctor came out.
"Doctor, how is she?" Isabella rushed him with such words. The doctor shook his head and said, After.
"We are trying our best on her, and when we are through, you will know." He made a step to leave when Isabella held him by his coat.
"What again?" The doctor asked.
"I have a lot to do right now."
"Assured me that Norah will be better." Isabella tempted him.
"I'm sorry, I can only do my best. I am not God, nor am I a magician." He answered. "She is already in a coma.""This is two days now, and Norah hasn't said a word."
"Let's pray she survives." The doctor answered.
Isabella sobbed, the tears in her eyes rolled down her cheeks, and her heart filled with pain.
"Norah, I warned you. I told you this earlier, before now." She shook her head, entering into Norah Ward. Looking at Norah from the doorstep, Isabella couldn't believe that Norah had sustained such an injury.
"The doctor said you may survive this." Isabella held Norah's hands as he spoke to Norah, who neither replied nor talked.
"Please do not leave me, so do not put me to shame." She sobbed again. Resting her head beside Norah, when her phone rang.
"Good day, Mr. Sherman." Isabella greeted him."
"How is Norah? Has she said anything?"
"The doctor didn't assure me of Norah's survival. I think she might not survive it." Norah answered.
"What about the baby?" "We have no option other than to think, Take off, mind the baby."
"Meaning?" Sherman curiously asked."If the mother can't survive it, what then will a month of pregnancy do? The baby's chance of survival depends on the mother." Isabella replied.
"I do not know what came over Alpha Xavier; this wasn't him." Sherman took a deep breath, as he was about to end the call with Isabella.
"Alright, I will do my best to come over before the weekend. Sherman promised Isabella.
"That would be attending her burial." Isabella sounded "I do not believe that Norah would die under my rescue; that can't happen." Sherman believes.
"Let's watch and pray for her survival because she is the only one I have so close." Isabella added.
The call was over. Lynn thought of what to do, how she would mock Isabella. She decided to host a party without reasonable meaning. Isabella just received the contract letter."How could Lynn invite me to her party? Isn't the wedding done? What else does she want to celebrate?" Isabella questioned herself.
"I will have to turn down this offer; I can't." She concluded, then hurried to the cancellation letter.
"How dare Isabella turn down my offer? She must be here." Lynn said to herself, after reading Isabella's letter that read.
"Hi, Mrs. Lynn, I had received your letter, but sorry, I can't attend to your offer. I have an occasion to attend and at the same time am planning an event with the host." From Isabella.
She sealed it and sent it via mail.
Lynn's secretary got it and read it before Lynn, who was sipping the glass of juice."She must be crazy, very much crazy.
Isabella has no reason to turn down my offer." Lynn lost control, so she almost freaked out.
"I think she is engaged." Said the secretary, Lynn couldn't hold it when she slapped her secretary.
"This should be the last time you will interrupt me." Lynn warned her.
"I'm sorry, madam, I was just..." Lynn stopped her."Get lost.
" She told the secretary, who ran out urgently in fear."Isabella has no right to turn this down. I really want to make nonsense, not her and her carrier." Lynn stood aggressively.
She ran into the alpha chamber, not minding the meeting in the chamber."She just turned down my offer." Lynn placed the printed letter in Alpha Xavier's hands.
"With due respect, Lynn, we are having a meeting with the alpha." Sherman challenges her.
Lynn got so provoked that she drew closer to him."Did you lose your senses? How dare you say such to me?"
"It has always been our right to observe a calmer infighting with the alpha without his Luna present, and you weren't invited, were you?" Sherman, without fear, asked her.
"I think you have lost it, Sherman.
Have you forgotten that she is the love of my life? She is right and always right in what she does." Alpha supported. "You are about to lose the throne, the position as an alpha, if you keep listening to her." Sherman spoke more.
"I see, I see that your wolf has always backed you, which is more reason you act like the strongest of all the betas that have ever existed." Lynn frowned her brow at Sherman.
"I do not mean to hurt or embarrass you; all I seek is privacy with the alpha."
"I see, Sherman, you are yet to know me." Lynn spoke before Alpha Xavier.
"Enough of this; let's continue with our meeting." Alpha instructed.
"I will reply to you later, Lynn." Alpha added."You are stirring the anger in me, Alpha. I am your priority, not the so-called members of yours." Lynn reacted.
"Please, with all due respect, my love, I will attend to you." Alpha calms her down, but Lynn has written Sherman off in the deepest part of her heart.
