Jonathan pulled the car up outside Zephyra’s apartment building, where she was waiting.

She barely had time to pick up the bag at her feet before he was out of the driver’s seat to take it off her and open the rear door for her. She smiled at him, then slid in to sit opposite me. I drank her in a little too avariciously. Her long dark hair was tied back in a ponytail.
