As I stepped out of the limo, camera flashes exploded in my face. I extended a hand back into the car to help Scottie out. Her cool fingers wrapped around mine, and she smiled at me as she emerged, looking stunning in a dress cut nearly low enough to be indecent. She tucked her hand in my elbow and swept along at my side as we made our way to the entrance.
