Aria's POV

Ms Alonso's glare pins us to our seats. I stare at her blankly. Lily, on the other hand, smiles sweetly, like she's some kind of angel.

"We were, uh..." I start.

"Discussing the mitochondria?" Lily blurts out.

What?

The class bursts into laughter. I elbow Lily under the table and whisper, "You could've just said nothing."

"Sit down, both of you," Ms Alonso sighs, rolling her eyes behind her small glasses. "Pay attention."
