"But it's complicated." Dave finishes, then he smiles and steps closer to me. "I also have a girl." He maintains eye contact for some seconds, then chuckles and looks away. "But it's complicated."

I can't help but smile at his openness. "Welcome to the club, Dave."

Dave nods, then he takes in my bag and frowns. "Your roommate threw you out or what?"
