"Dad... He's here because..."

"Because I asked him to." Lily cut in right on time. She avoided my eyes as she focused her sole attention on my dad.

"And why would you ask him to come here?" Dad turned to her.

"You know, Jason and I are friends. And when I learned about your loss, he was the first person I called. He offered to come and help me talk to Aria."
