Aria's POV

After a few quiet minutes by the lake, Jason stood up and extended his hand to me.

"Ready?" He asked.

"Okay," I said as I took his hand and we got back into the car. Outside, the air was a little crisp and just enough to turn my breath into faint clouds.

The windows were fogged slightly, and when he turned on the heater, a soft warmth filled the air.

"Okay," I said, attempting to start a conversation. "If that wasn't the date, then where are we going now?"
